The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) is a private university located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. Grading and GPA System in this University

- E – Fail (0-59%)
To calculate the Grade Point Average (GPA), the credit points of each course and the grades obtained are multiplied, and the sum of all the products is divided by the total number of credits. The maximum GPA that can be obtained is 10. UPES also offers a supplementary examination for students who fail to obtain the minimum pass marks in a particular course.
