Grading and GPA System

OSU uses the traditional A-F grading system, where:

In addition, the following grades are also used:

  • W: Withdrawal
  • S: Satisfactory
  • U: Unsatisfactory
  • P: Pass
  • F: Fail

The university calculates the GPA on a 4.0 scale, and it considers all grades except W and S when calculating the GPA. The minimum GPA required to graduate is 2.0.
